Q. Can I purchase shares directly from Otter Tail?
A.

Yes. With the Shareowner Direct Plan, which is administered by Wells Fargo Bank, you can purchase shares directly. It’s easy and all brokerage fees for purchases are paid by Otter Tail. The minimum initial investment is $250. To enroll in the plan online, please go to http://www.shareoweneronline.com/.

Q. Does the Corporation offer a dividend reinvestment plan?
A.

Otter Tail Corporation shareholders are eligible to enroll in the Automatic Dividend Reinvestment and Share Purchase Plan.  Shareholders can make optional cash investments with a minimum investment of $10 and a maximum of $120,000 on an annual basis. If you would like additional information about joining the plan, please contact the company or Wells Fargo Shareowner Services. Contact information can be found under “How do I find information about my account?” noted above.

Q. How do I enroll in the dividend reinvestment plan?
A.

You must hold your shares in registered form with the Corporation to join the Plan and complete the reinvestment portion of the account authorization form.  To enroll in the plan online, please go to www.shareowneronline.com.

Q. How do I transfer my shares?
A.

To transfer shares, we require:

  • Stock Power form [PDF]. The signature(s) must correspond exactly with the name(s) as it appears on the account from which it is being transferred.
  • Your signature must be witnessed by a Medallion Guarantee Program Member (contact your financial institution or broker).
  • Surrender of the physical stock certificates (if any). When mailing, we suggest that you insure your package for two percent of the face value to avoid replacement costs.

Q. What do I do about lost or stolen stock certificates?
A.

As soon as the certificate is determined to be missing, please contact Wells Fargo Shareowner Services. Their contact information is listed under” How do I find information about my account?” noted above.  To have the certificate replaced will require an Indemnity bond, which the cost of the bond carries a $75 processing fee and can run up to 3% of the current market value of the shares being replaced.  Please note that it takes around 3-5 business days to have the shares replaced, which the default method of replacement is electronically through DRS (direct registration system).
